The Ressurection
by: FatMan71
For Those Loyal Hip-Hop Fans, June 23rd Marks The Date Of The Release Of My 2nd Album "The Ressurection." People Have Been Asking Me All Sorts Of Questions In The Past Months About Why The Album Is Called "The Ressurection?" And What Can They Expect On It, So I Wanted To Take This Time Out To Explain.

For Those Of You Who Remember, On My First Album "Back In L.O.V.E. (A Life Of Violent Endeavors)" The Final Song Was Called "Obituary" And It Chronicled A Day In Which "FatMan" Died. This Happened For Two Reasons. One, I Wanted To Pay My Respects To All The Greats Before Me Like Biggie, Rakim, & Jadakiss Who "Died" At The End Of Their First Albums, And I Also Wanted To Put An End To My Career Because After That Album I Had No Intentions On Ever Rapping Again. But Due To The Success Of That Album, And Especially Due To The Success Of The Songs "Bossman," Go Crazy," And Freak Wit Me," I Was Offered A Record Deal With Money Hungry Entertainment. Before I Took That Deal I Needed To Find Out Whether My Heart Was Still In The Rap Game, So I Set Out And Made "Tha Franchyze Vol. 1."

Making That Mixtape Was One Of The Best Months Of My Life, So I Signed To The Label Founded By My Mentor Red Dott, But I Now Faced A Conundrum. Since FatMan Is Dead, How Do I Continue Rapping? I Decided To "Ressurect" As A Different Persona, Which Is Jack Diamond (Theres Another Story Behind That Name, But Thats For Another Time). I Also Believe That The Rap Game In General Has Never Been Worse In Its Entire History, So I Feel My Job Was To "Come Back From The Dead" And "Ressurect The Rap Game."

So Now That All That Is At The Way, "The Ressurection" Will Have 17 Tracks, With 14 Songs And 3 Sound Bites From The Movie "Boondock Saints" And Possibly 2 Bonus Freestyles. All The Beats Were Produced By My Former Paper Stacker Records Label-Mate, And Long Time Friend Brandon "Springz" Watts.

If you wanna check out some songs go to www.myspace.com/whatmyspaceneeds7171 and there should be some of the new songs up there, but for the next couple days it will still be songs off of "Tha Franchyze Vol.1" If you you like what you here and want a copy of the Album, contact me either via facebook or DCSportsfan. Thanks For Your Ears, Peace.
