There were moments Thursday night where the Wilson Tigers showed flashes of brilliance. Then again, there were also moments that showed how much work is left to do for the Tigers. After playing the Patriots tough for two quarters, which resulted in a 7-6 Yorktown lead going into the half, the wheels eventually came off. Wilson's defense allowed an 85-yard touchdown drive while the offense turned the ball over four times.

These two teams met last year on a Thursday night in August and things didn’t go Wilson’s way. The Tigers were overpowered for the majority of the night, losing to Yorktown 35-7 in front of a large Arlington crowd. This year has a chance to be different with Jubar Knight leading the way at quarterback. The Coolidge transfer brings a strong arm and big-game experience to the Tigers.
