Brief Description:
The goal for the Good Counsel Lacrosse camp is to provide quality instruction in the fundamentals of lacrosse. We plan to accomplish this goal by providing each camper with an intense week of training in a positive environment. A small camper to counselor ratio will enable us to give each camper individual attention as we teach overall fundamentals as well as position-specific skills and techniques. Teamwork, effort, sportsmanship, and confidence will be stressed throughout the camp.

CAMP FEATURES The Good Counsel Girls' Lacrosse Camp is the longest running lacrosse camp for girls in the county. This is year number 8 and we expect to eclipse over 1000 total campers in that time! Daily Sessions Daily sessions will include skill lessons, individual attack and defense techniques, team concept sessions, coached scrimmages, and specialized goalie instruction. In addition, prizes are given daily for competitions and anyone can win, most games are not based on lacrosse skill because we want everyone to have the ability to win a prize! Camp Store The Camp Store will be open throughout the week.
Good Counsel and Get Good apparel, accessories, sports drinks, and a variety of snacks will be sold. Daily pizza orders will also be available. All campers receive free pizza on Friday and the Famous Ice Cream Party occurs on Wednesday! Dining Hall Campers will reside in air-conditioned during lunch everyday. Campers should pack their own lunch or be prepared to purchase fruits, snacks, pizza, and drinks daily. Itinerary Registration: Monday, June 16th, 8:15-8:45 am on Baumgartner Field Guest Speaker/Awards: Friday, June 20th, 2:30-3:00pm in the Dining Hall.
Daily Schedule: Individual work with counselors and Coach Haight is available from 8:15-8:45 am. Session I: 9:00am-11:15am (fundamentals) Games: 11:15am Lunch: 12:00- 12:45 pm All-Star Demo's: 12:45-1:15 pm Session II: 1:15- 1:45 Team Practice Session III: 1:45-2:15 (Fundamental work) Games: 2:15-3:00 pm
Cancellation Policy All requests for cancellation must be made to Michael Haight in writing. All monies paid, with the exception of the $50.00 administrative fee, will be refunded provided the request is made three weeks prior to the start of camp. No refunds will be provided after 6/6/08 without proper medical documentation.

About Coach Haight
Good Counsel has now won 4 straight WCAC titles. The Falcons finished in the top 25 in the country in 2007 and #4 in the Washington Post, and #2 in the Examiner. This year Coach Haight boasts 6 seniors that are graduated and continuing their lacrosse career at Division I school around the country. Coach Haight was named the Gazette "Coach of the Year" in 2007 his third such distinction from the Gazette and 8th overall Coach of the Year Distinction.

Coach Paul DeStefano has been a teacher, athletic
director and coach in the Washington
Metropolitan Area for over 30 years. Currently, he
is the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at St. John’s.
He has been the Boys Varsity Coach at St. John’s
for the past twelve years. This will be his twelfth
year as the Director of the St. John’s Basketball
Camp.
Coach DeStefano has always emphasized the fundamentals.It is this attention to basic skills development that will make the St. John’s Basketball
Camp a tremendous learning experience. Coach DeStefano is looking forward to directing the St. John’s Basketball Camp this summer. It is part of his coaching career that he thoroughly enjoys. “Working with youngsters in a camp environment

Basketball Camp Goals
To develop basic skills such as passing, dribbling,
shooting, rebounding, and playing defense.
To provide an environment in which all campers
have fun playing basketball.
While developing the individual skills of each
camper, the St. John’s Basketball Camp teaches
and stresses the importance of team play.
At the conclusion of the camp, the St. John’s
Basketball Camp wants all campers to realize what
it takes to become a good basketball player (good
attitude, hard work, willingness to learn and listen,
and the ability to blend individual skills with the
team concept).

Buzz Braman's Sure Shot I.Q. Advanced Shooting Camp and I.Q. Situation Camp under the instruction of Bob Wagner offers a a unique program of innovative instruction that cpmplements the Shooting Camp and Offensive Camp. Campers will learn principles that apply to all ofenses. The I.Q. Camp is an opportunity for teams and individuals to improve their game when playing with others in controlled, competitive, game situations. Bob Wagner, with the use of videos analysis, will teach you to "read" and understand the defense and make good decisions with and without the ball.
Because of the competitive nature of the game situations, only middle school and high school students may register, no beginners.
Coach Wooten Basketball Camp - 05/02/2008

Joe Wootten will continue his Coach Wootten basketball camp, with a boys and girls overnight camp, as well as a boys day camp and separate coaches clinic.
The boys and girls overnight camps are five-day, four-night sessions, located at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Md., with ages ranging from 9-18-year-olds. There are five sessions, starting on a weekly basis on June 15, with tuition set at $475.
The two sessions of boys day camp at O’Connell starts on July 21, with hours ranging from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday – Thursday and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday. Tuition is $220.
Wootten will oversee a two-day coaches clinic Oct. 3-4, with tuition set at $80. Past speakers have included Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, Minnesota’s Tubby Smith, Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim and Maryland’s Gary Williams. The coaching roster will be announced in July. All slots are currently open.
