Bullis vs. QO Friday Night

9/22/2017 8:10:59 AM

Hell of a game tonight. Anyone know who is coaching QO these days? When did they start scheduling private league schools?

John Kelley (Seneca Valley '98 grad & older brother of Chris Kelley) is the HC of QO. This is his 4th season as HC (9th with the program).

MoCo has a whole started looking for out of county games about 3 or 4 years ago.  It started with the county asking lower tier schools to find at least 1 OOC game vs similar competition. That opened up dates for the some of better schools to follow suit, if they wanted.  Since MoCo does schedules in 2yr cylcles it was kind of tough to get open dates vs OOC schools to matchup. For example, talk for QO-Bullis game started 2 1/2 years ago.

With that being said, I dont expect to see too many MoCo- Private matchups in the furture.  2-4 games max per year, for various reasons.

Bullis had 411 yards of total offense , QO had 513

both teams were very evenly matched , but Bullis had more overall talent . Bullis won first half , 21-7 . QO won 2nd half 28-14. QO only 1st half TD was Fumble return for TD. In 2nd half Bullis offense scored only one time on offense, other was KOR for TD. QO scored 4x in 2nd half . QO when for 2 during OT after Bullis scored an kicked PAT.

Great game, two good teams , someone had to lose.

And if Bullis doesn't have Mckan , they don't win , no matter who el was hurt , he was the key

I agree Bullis had more talent.  QO was able to hang in there because they had more depth.  Bullis was noticbly wore out in the 2nd half

Bullis wins 42-41 in OT.

QO was ranked 10th in the Post. Bullis was unranked. Probably why public school teams don't schedule private school teams.

Bullis was winning easy and in complete control until they lost 3 guys in the first half including the QB and the really fast playmaker Shaw. QO mounted a come back and tied it with a minute left.  Bullis scored first and kicked the pat. QO struggled early kicking so they went for 2 in their last 3 TDs. They missed their attempt in OT.

didn't look like it would be that close Until the injuries set in. Last night was the first game the SJC transfer RB played for Bullis coming off a preseason injury. He played great.  Bullis wouldn't have won without him on the field last night Along with the other guys missing.

Baby D played well. Also Bullis started a freshman at CB.

Bullis was missing #4, a key starter on both sides of the ball.

The freshman replaced him at CB. Hearing Bullis didnt finish the game with one starter in the secondary. Hopefully they can get healthy before the SMR game.

It was an extremely physical game.  Both squads had kids knocked out of the game.  Bullis was affected more due to so many of their kids playing both ways.
