Alexandria (VA) Bishop Ireton HS has immediate opening for an Assistant Athletic Director to prepare and maintain all athletic facilities; ensure the supporting equipment is functional, available, and ready for use in game and practice events, and staffed with support personnel as required; coordinate the safe and timely transportation of athletic teams; conducts on-campus visits for incoming high school students as well as college recruiter; and monitor social media promotions. The Asst. AD also serves as the Athletic Director in his absence.
BA/BS degree in appropriate field; Master’s degree a plus. Must have at least 4-6 years of experience in management, preferably in an educational and athletic setting. Must have high-level organizational skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with large and small audiences and individuals at all levels; thorough understanding of/commitment to safety protocols; proficiency in Microsoft Office software; and first aid and CPR certification or eligibility for certification within 30 days of employment.
